World Book Day shares magic of reading
Published on 08/03/19
From Hermione Granger to the BFG, the classrooms at Charles Darwin Primary were packed with storybook favourites as the school celebrated World Book Day 2019.
Pupils came to school on Thursday, March 7 dressed as their favourite book characters and brought their best-loved stories to share.
Staff got into the spirit as well, with impressive costumes including Paddington Bear and Narnia's White Witch.
Book-themed activities through the day included a 'reading carousel' where Year 3 pupils shared their best-loved books with their grown-ups.
World Book Day is held every year to celebrate books and promote reading in schools across the country.
