Children have a whale of a time at ocean science day

Published on 30/10/18

A visit to Norwich Science Festival went with a splash as pupils from Charles Darwin Primary learned all about the ocean.

The children explored exhibits with an under-the-sea theme, finding out about ocean habitats and the threat they’re under from plastic pollution, in the visit to the Forum on Friday, October 19.

They enjoyed hands-on activities including making models of marine creatures, discovering how rivers work, and decorating sandcastles with seashells.

There was also time to pop into the Millennium Library to have a tour with the librarian and choose some books to read together.

Teacher Alana Chipperfield said: “This was a fantastic day and the children really enjoyed taking part in the different activities.”
