Pupils pipe up for cathedral performance

A choir from Charles Darwin Primary won a chorus of approval for their performance at a concert in Norwich Cathedral.

The children joined voices with pupils from schools across the region for the Primary Schools Choir Concert, organised by the cathedral and the Norwich School.

Charles Darwin’s choir sang ‘Silver Moon’ and ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, accompanied by the cathedral’s Master of Music on the piano.

They also had a chance to hear the cathedral’s pipe organ, one of the largest in the country.

Teacher Nathaniel Cook said: “The children performed fantastically.

“They loved singing inside the cathedral and hearing the organ.”
