Teatime treat for care home residents

Published on 26/03/18

Children from Great Yarmouth Primary Academy cheered residents at a nearby care home when they made a special delivery of afternoon tea.

The children assembled a feast of delicious sandwiches, cakes, and strawberry and marshmallow sticks to serve at Saint David’s Residential Care Home on Friday, March 23.

They also gave out handmade Easter cards, and listened to one of the residents playing the keyboard before having a go themselves.

Teaching assistant Marc Smout said: “The children had a lovely afternoon meeting the residents at Saint David’s, and their sandwiches, cakes, and cards were very well received.”
