Schools collaborate for the future

Published on 25/10/16

Two of Great Yarmouth's most successful primary schools are to work more closely together for an ever brighter future.

This summer both Great Yarmouth Primary Academy and Stradbroke Primary Academy achieved record results in the Government's national Key Stage 2 tests, reflecting the fantastic progress made at the schools since they joined the Inspiration Trust.

From November both schools will be led by Stephen Astley, previously principal at Stradbroke Primary.

"As a close family of schools we frequently work together to share the best educational practice and give new opportunities for our pupils – whether that’s visiting our maths and science specialist Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form in Norwich, or coming together to form a junior choir with our sister primaries in Great Yarmouth," said Mr Astley.

"I'm delighted that we will now have an even closer collaboration between Stradbroke and Great Yarmouth primary academies. Both achieved their best ever Key Stage 2 results this summer, and we are in a fantastic position to go even further."
