Hethersett top in East Anglia

Published on 20/01/17

Hethersett Academy is the top performing school in three counties, new figures released yesterday show.

The Department for Education yesterday unveiled final GCSE results information for 2016, including its new Progress 8 figure that measures how much schools help students improve.

Hethersett Academy's Progress 8 indicator was confirmed at 0.68 - the highest published score in Norfolk, Suffolk, or Cambridgeshire.

Principal Gareth Stephens said: "This is a fantastic accolade for our students staff, to be recognised not just as a leading school in Norfolk but also in the wider region too.

"We have already seen an increase in families looking to join our school community, and we look forward to helping even more students achieve their very best."
