Trust hosts free Ofsted briefing for region

Published on 25/04/19

School leaders will be able to hear first hand from one of the country's most influential educational figures at a free event hosted by the Inspiration Trust.

Ofsted's national director for education, Sean Harford, will give a briefing on the inspectorate's planned changes to how it judges schools as part of a free seminar in Great Yarmouth on May 2.

He will also take part in a question and answer session for headteachers to put their comments and questions on the new inspection handbook, which is expected to come into force in September.

Mr Harford joined Ofsted in 2003 and was appointed to his current post in 2015, and now oversees Ofsted’s inspection policy for early years, maintained, independent and unregistered schools, and further education and skills.

The event is being hosted by the Inspiration Trust, which operates 13 academies in Norfolk and north Suffolk and has twice been ranked top nationally for pupil progress at GCSE and was this year placed joint second for sixth form progress.

The event will take place at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, Salisbury Road, Great Yarmouth from 3.30pm on Thursday, May 2.
